Not all brains think alike. The flight controller you need depends entirely on your mission. Are you trying to thread a needle-gap in a bando, or are you trying to autonomously map a 50-acre field?

The Pro Hangar: ArduPilot & PX4 This is where things get serious. ArduPilot and PX4 are more than flight controllers; they are true, open-source autopilot systems. This is the realm of fully autonomous missions, redundant sensors, CAN bus peripherals, and complex payload integration. If you're building a commercial survey drone, a mapping VTOL, or a heavy-lift rig that absolutely, positively cannot fail, this is your section. This is less about stick feel and more about mission success.
