Those are controlled, unobstructed DJI measurements, not practical UK range. Pro’s real advantages are its larger sensor, 4K/120 recording and dual antennas.
DJI O4 Wiring and Power: The Part to Get Right
Do not power O4 Pro from 5V. DJI specifies 7.4-26.4V and at least 13.5W from a BEC, for example 9V at 1.5A.

Lite and Wide accept 3.7-13.2V, but 1S voltage can sag. A GOKU F405 HD 1S 12A AIO or regulated HGLRC O4 BEC is safer than an unverified 1S pad.
Activation and Betaflight OSD Setup
- Remove the propellers. Power the air unit and connect its USB-C port to DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series).
- Activate the unit and update the air unit and goggles to compatible firmware. An unactivated O4 is limited to 20mW or less and restricts goggle menu access.
- Link the goggles and air unit using their link buttons.
- In Betaflight Configurator 4.4 or later, open Ports and set the wired UART’s Peripherals option to VTX (MSP + DisplayPort), then save and reboot.
- Arrange the Canvas Mode elements in the OSD tab and confirm they appear in the goggles before refitting props.
O4 is not detected automatically. If video works but OSD does not, check the crossed RX/TX wiring and UART setting first.

Troubleshooting Common O4 Problems
Video but no OSD: check RX/TX and MSP + DisplayPort. Will not link: activate and update both devices. Dropouts: inspect U.FL connections and keep antennas clear of carbon and metal. Yes. DJI Goggles 2 and Goggles Integra support the O4 family when compatible firmware is installed. They pair with DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, but they do not enable O4 Racing Mode.

Why do I have video but no Betaflight OSD?
