MicoAir MTF-02P Optical Flow & Lidar Sensor
If you like flying indoors or in concrete bunkers where GPS goes to die, you need this. The MTF-02P is basically a tiny camera combined with a laser rangefinder that screams "I AM HERE" to your flight controller so it doesn't drift aimlessly into a wall.
It’s a solid solution for altitude hold and position stability in GPS-denied environments. It speaks Mavlink (ArduPilot/PX4) and MSP (iNav), but fair warning: switching protocols involves bridging solder pads. If you aren't comfortable with a soldering iron, this might not be for you.
A couple of ground rules: It needs light (at least 60 Lux). If you try to position hold in a pitch-black room, you will crash. It also needs to be at least 8cm off the ground to work properly.
Key Stats:
- Compatibility: iNav, ArduPilot, PX4 (UART).
- Tech: Optical Flow (for velocity) + Laser Rangefinder/Lidar (for altitude).
- Range: Lidar works from 2cm up to 6m.
- Protocols: Micolink, Mavlink, MSP (Configurable via solder bridge).
- Weight: 1.5g. You won't even notice it's there.
