MicoAir MG-F10: Because Your Internal Compass is Broken

Let’s be honest: you’re only here because your last quad is currently living in a tree somewhere in the Midlands, and you’re tired of playing 'hide and seek' with five hundred quid's worth of carbon fibre. Enter the MG-F10 from MicoAir Tech. It’s small, it’s shiny, and it knows exactly where it is, even if you don't. Designed for people who prefer 'Return to Home' over 'Walk of Shame'.

Why You Want It

Using the u-blox M10 engine, this little puck of silicon picks up satellites faster than a teenager picks up a bad habit. It’s got a built-in compass too, so your flight controller won't get confused about which way is 'up' or 'back to safety' when the 5.8GHz video feed starts looking like a 1990s TV during a thunderstorm.

Specs

  • GNSS Chip: u-blox M10 Series (Fast, accurate, and ignores your excuses)
  • Compass: QMC5883L (Tells you where North is, even if you’re heading South)
  • Input Voltage: 3.3V - 5.0V (Standard drone food)
  • Protocols: UBLOX / NMEA (It speaks fluent Flight Controller)
  • Update Rate: Up to 10Hz (Refresh rates faster than your reaction times)
  • Dimensions: 25 x 25 x 8mm (Tiny enough to fit on your toothpick, sturdy enough for a 7-inch)

In the Box

  • 1x MicoAir MG-F10 GPS Module
  • 1x Silicone Cable Assembly (The one you'll probably melt with your soldering iron)

Compatibility

Works with Betaflight, INAV, and ArduPilot. If you're still using Baseflight, please close this tab and seek help from a museum curator.

Highlights

  • M10 Power: Concurrent reception of 4 GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou). It’s basically hoarding satellites.
  • Small Footprint: Leaves more room on your top plate for that GoPro you're definitely going to smash.

Notes

Ensure the 'Arrow' points forward. If it points backwards, your drone will fly away from you with increased confidence. Solder it properly; 'cold joints' are not a feature, they are a failure.

Disclaimer

GPS is a backup, not a substitute for talent. If you fly behind a lead-lined warehouse, don't blame us for the signal drop.

Still Here?

You’re either a bot, a very bored competitor, or a spec-nerd waiting for a sign. This is the sign. Buy the MicoAir MG-F10, get a 3D printed TPU mount, and stop losing your gear in the tall grass.
