BetaFPV Air65 II Brushless Whoop – 65mm 1S Indoor Drone

If you live in a UK shoebox apartment (or just refuse to go outside when it's drizzling), the BetaFPV Air65 II is your new best friend. This isn't just a shrunk-down Air75; it’s a 65mm ripper designed to turn your hallway into a race track and your cat into a nervous wreck. Weighing as little as 16.6g, this thing defies gravity, logic, and usually, the durability limits of standard electronics—until now.

Choose Your Character

BetaFPV realized that "one size fits all" is a lie. So, they gave us three distinct setups. Pick the one that matches your ego:

  • Champion Edition (The Weight Weenie): At 16.6g, this is the anorexic supermodel of the group. It uses 0702 36000KV motors with direct solder connections to shave off every milligram. It has a 6.3:1 thrust ratio. If you blink, you'll miss it. Warning: Requires soldering skills if you break a motor.
  • Racing Edition (The Gate Crasher): The sensible middle ground. 30000KV motors with plugs (thank god). Tuned for technical tracks where throttle control matters more than raw warp speed.
  • Freestyle Edition (The Smooth Operator): Uses 25000KV motors and Gemfan 1219S props. It’s floaty, efficient, and designed for flow. Perfect for pilots who want to hit gaps, not just blur past them.

We Crashed It So You Can Too

The previous generation had a nasty habit of cracking Flight Controllers if you looked at them sternly. BetaFPV took this personally. They ran a crash test program (bashing drones into walls at full speed) and found that removing the front rubber grommet actually saved the board.

The result? The Matrix 5IN1 II FC with a 3-point floating mount. It absorbs shock better, has a thicker 1.0mm PCB, and packs a 12A ESC that is laughably overpowered for a 65mm drone. You can still break it, but you'll have to try much harder.

Still Here?
