SkyRC e4S 60W Multi-Chemistry Charger

A straightforward charging bench need not mean one charger for every battery chemistry. The SkyRC e4S combines mains power, up to 60W charging output and four selectable current settings for 2–4S LiPo, LiHV and LiFe packs, plus 6–8-cell NiMH batteries. Buttons and status LEDs handle the essentials without making charging feel like a spreadsheet exercise.

Key Highlights

  • Four battery chemistries: Select LiPo, LiHV, LiFe or NiMH to match your pack, within the supported cell-count ranges.
  • Choose an appropriate current: Select 1A, 2A, 3A or 5A according to the battery manufacturer's charging limits. Even the lowest setting may be too high for some small packs.
  • Up to 60W output: Useful charging power in a compact case. The 5A setting is not a promise of 5A at every pack voltage; charging remains subject to the power limit.
  • Lithium balance charging: Up to 500mA balancing current, with separate main and balance connections. Make sure both lithium-pack connections are correct before starting.
  • LED status and fault indicators: Check charging progress and connection warnings at a glance, rather than squinting through another menu.

Why You Want It

The e4S suits a bench with supported 2S–4S lithium packs and 6–8-cell NiMH packs, where selectable charging current matters more than a display full of advanced settings. Its AC input means no external DC supply is needed. It is not suitable for 1S whoop batteries or 6S flight packs, and SkyRC does not document a storage or discharge mode for this model.

FAQ

Can it charge a 4S LiPo?

Yes, 4S LiPo is within the supported range. Use the correct chemistry setting, suitable main and balance connections, and a current allowed by the battery manufacturer.

Do I need a battery charging lead?

Check your battery's main and balance connections against the instruction manual before ordering. This listing does not promise an included battery lead or adapter.

Does selecting 5A guarantee a 5A charge?

No. Output is limited to 60W, and actual charging current also depends on battery voltage and the charging stage. Select a safe current, not simply the biggest number.

Does it have storage mode?

Storage mode is not documented in SkyRC's e4S page or manual. Choose a charger with an explicitly supported storage function if that is part of your routine.

How do I start and stop charging?

Select battery type and current, then use the start/stop control as shown in the manual: hold for two seconds to start and short-press to stop charging. The battery-status LED blinks green while charging and remains green when complete.

Disclaimer

Read the SkyRC e4S instruction manual before use. Charge only supported rechargeable chemistries and cell counts; do not charge non-rechargeable, damaged or defective batteries. Follow the battery manufacturer's charging limits and connect leads correctly. Never leave charging unattended. Use a safe, well-ventilated location away from moisture and excessive heat, keep charger and batteries out of children's reach, and stop immediately if abnormalities occur. A damaged AC cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.

Still Here?

Match the cell count, chemistry, charging current and leads to your packs. If your bench lives in the e4S's supported range, it covers the basics without a complicated setup ritual.
