For open-air long-range and cinematic filming, 6065 delivers identical flight efficiency and performance at a much lower price.
What propeller size and pitch work best with the UMT 2807 1300KV?
The 1300KV rating on 6S LiPo is optimised for 7-inch to 8-inch propellers. For smooth, efficient cruising and maximum flight time, 7x3.5x3 or 7x4x3 tri-blades (such as HQProp) are ideal. If you want maximum efficiency on open long-range flights, 7x3.5x2 bi-blades are also an excellent pairing.
What ESC rating do I need for this motor?
With a maximum continuous current draw of 56.7A on 6S, we recommend pairing the UMT 2807 with a 50A to 60A 4-in-1 ESC or individual ESCs with adequate burst ratings to ensure cool and reliable operation under peak loads.
Will the 200mm motor wires reach a 4-in-1 ESC on large frames?
Yes. The pre-soldered 200mm 18AWG silicone wires are specifically sized to route cleanly across extended arms on 7-inch, 8-inch, DeadCat, and stretched-X frames directly to a central 4-in-1 ESC stack without needing wire extensions.
Can I run this motor on 4S LiPo?
While the motor supports 4S to 6S, running 1300KV on 4S will result in lower RPM and reduced thrust. For 4S builds, a higher KV variant (such as 1700KV) is recommended. The 1300KV is purpose-built for 6S LiPo power.
