The Mobula 8: It Doesn't Suck.

Look, we all remember the Mobula 7. Let's just say it had its... quirks. Happymodel is back with the Mobula 8, their latest attempt to convince you that a tiny whoop can carry an O4 Lite camera without shaking like a leaf in a hurricane. And to be fair, they've mostly pulled it off. Mostly.

Out of the box, the Mobula 8 is surprisingly composed. It’s quiet, stable, and handles with a polite competence you wouldn't expect from something this small. They've even included a clever little wide-angle adapter for the camera, so your field of view is less 'looking through a keyhole' and more 'actually seeing where you're going.' A definite improvement.

Of course, there's a catch. There's always a catch. While your live feed is fine, the recorded footage has a bad case of the wobbles on low throttle. Happymodel's solution is to slap an ND filter on it, which is like putting a plaster on a broken leg. It hides the jello but doesn't fix the underlying vibration from the hard-mounted camera. Your footage will be smoother, but good luck seeing anything in low light.

So, should you buy it? If you're looking for a brilliant little whoop to just fly around, absolutely. It's one of the best right now. If you're a creator chasing that buttery-smooth HD footage, be prepared to get your hands dirty with a few simple mods.
