BetaFPV Air65 Wisp whoop glowing

The BetaFPV Air65 Wisp: The Short Version

We wrote a long, detailed article about BetaFPV’s new glow-in-the-dark whoop. But we know you. Your attention span is shorter than a 1S battery's flight time. So, here’s the gist of what Painless360 found in his hands-on review, which you can watch below if you prefer moving pictures to our meticulously crafted words.

At its core, the Air65 Wisp is the same zippy, well-tuned Air65 race whoop you’re familiar with. The only real difference is its frame and props are now made of photoluminescent plastic. Yes, it’s a gimmick. A glorious, eye-catching gimmick that turns your quad into a tiny, buzzing ghost. Just remember to charge it under actual sunlight or a UV lamp; a quick flash of your phone torch isn't going to cut it.

There is, however, one small oversight. For a drone that’s clearly begging to be flown at dusk, BetaFPV fitted it with the standard C03 camera, which isn't exactly a night-vision specialist. It’s a bit like selling a submarine with a screen door. A perfectly serviceable camera for daylight, but a missed opportunity for true low-light shenanigans. Consider it a future upgrade project.

So, the verdict? It’s a great whoop with a fun, limited-edition party trick. If you want a tiny drone to spook the cat with after sunset, it's a solid choice. If you want the full, unabridged technical breakdown—because you’re a nerd, and we respect that—you can find our original, much longer post right here.
