Pavo Pico II: Why 'Pro' Is The Wrong Answer

You've got a Pavo Pico II. You've also got a choice between two DJI O4 cameras: Lite or Pro. You might think the answer is to just slap the 'better' one on there. You would be wrong. So very wrong.

Let's be blunt. Strapping the O4 Pro to this tiny whoop is like putting racing slicks on a shopping trolley. Sure, it fits, but the frame lacks the grunt to do anything useful with the extra weight. All you'll get is more noise, shorter flights, and a drone that handles like it's just had a very long lunch. It's a solution in search of a problem this drone can't solve.

The O4 Lite, however, is the sensible choice. The one that actually works. It sheds the extra grams, quiets things down, and delivers the remarkably jello-free footage you were hoping for in the first place. The drone feels floaty, predictable, and doesn't threaten to spontaneously disassemble during a punch-out. It’s what this whoop was meant to be.

So, the verdict is in. Unless your mission specifically involves torturing a 2S whoop for kicks, the O4 Lite is your dance partner. For the full, excruciatingly detailed breakdown of why one works and the other just... doesn't, you can read our latest deep-dive here. Don't say we didn't warn you.
