Our Antigravity A1 Vision Review, But Shorter
Share
Let's be honest, the world didn't need another proprietary FPV goggle. Yet, here we are. A small outfit called Antigravity decided to build a headset that looks suspiciously like a VR rig, complete with pancake lenses and a frankly unnecessary 2560x2560 resolution per eye. It's locked to their A1 drone, because of course it is. This is either ambitious or completely mad, so naturally, we had to take one apart.
The A1 Vision is a study in contradictions. The build quality and optics could make DJI blush. The 360-degree stitched view is a neat party trick, and the onboard DVR records audio that doesn't sound like a trapped wasp. The catch? A leisurely 150ms latency, which is fine for getting lovely cinematic shots but utterly useless for racing. It’s the scenic route of FPV, if you will.
So, should you care? If you're an A1 drone owner looking for a polished, premium viewing experience, absolutely. For everyone else, it's a fascinating glimpse at what happens when a company with deep pockets and a closed-off garden decides to raise the bar for FPV optics. We put it through its paces and then stripped it for parts, because that's what we do. You can watch the whole sordid affair below, or get the full, exhaustive breakdown in our complete review.
