A collage of the best DJI O4 micro FPV drones.

O4 Micro Drones: The Short Version

So, you've heard about the new DJI O4 micro drones. 4K video in something that fits in your pocket. Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? Well, it would be, if most of them weren't fundamentally broken. Manufacturers rushed them out the door with flaws that turn your glorious 4K footage into a wobbly mess or, even better, cut your video feed mid-flight. We call that 'an unscheduled landing'.

We've waded through the hype and sorted the contenders from the bin-fodder. You just want to know what to buy, so here you go. For the pilot who wants one drone to do it all, get the BetaFPV Pavo Pico II. If you're flying exclusively indoors, the BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro is the only one that reliably won't crash into your telly. For quiet park flying, the Flywoo Firefly18 is the one. No fuss.

Why these three? Because they're some of the only ones that properly solve the two deal-breaking problems plaguing this generation: the 'jello' epidemic caused by vibrations, and the sudden video blackouts on 1S models when you punch the throttle. These drones have proper engineering. Others... don't. It's really that simple.

That's the gist of it. You can now go and spend your money wisely. However, if you're the curious type who enjoys a deep dive into precisely why the other drones are a waste of perfectly good plastic, we've written an exhaustive guide. You can find all the gory details, comparison tables, and our complete 'avoid' list in our full O4 Micro Drone Buyer’s Guide.
