Flywoo DJI O4 Wide: A Wider View at a Heavy Price

DJI apparently decided you didn't need to see where you were going, which is why the original O4 Lite had the field of view of a Victorian postbox. Flywoo has graciously "fixed" this with the O4 Wide, bumping the view to a panoramic 159 degrees. Now you can actually see the branches you are about to crash into, which is nice.

Naturally, physics refused to negotiate. To get that wider lens, you have to accept a weight penalty that can only be described as offensive to micro builders. The stripped unit sits at 17.19g, practically doubling the old 9.27g setup. If you are building a 1S micro where every half-gram feels like a personal insult, this unit will make your quad handle like a wet sponge.

If you do decide to force it onto a 1S build, make sure your BEC can actually handle 2A, unless you enjoy the thrill of sudden video blackouts mid-air. For the rest of you flying 3-inch builds and larger, the extra storage (a claimed 23GB) and sturdier Pro mounting brackets make this a highly competent upgrade—assuming you do not mind some mild edge-warping during aggressive yaw spins.
