DollyFly16 from Sub250 drone

DollyFly16: Tiny Drone, Big Punch (or so Nick Says)

Alright, propeller-heads, time for a quick chinwag about the DollyFly16 from Sub250. Our resident drone whisperer, Nick, took this wee beast for a spin, and yes, it's packing the much-fabled O4 Pro and RockSteady, all whilst staying delightfully under the 250g mark. Which, let's be honest, changes everything if you're keen on not filing paperwork. At around $379 with the full kit, it’s not exactly highway robbery for cinematic HD under the magic number.

So, does it fly like a dream? Mostly. It's built for cinematic swoops, and the RockSteady tech truly earns its keep, making even the gnarliest 30mph gusts look like a gentle breeze in your footage. Indoors, however, it's a bit of a whistler. Think a tiny, angry teapot, but, you know, flying. Not a bug, just a… personality quirk.

Battery life is decent, roughly three and a half minutes of serene cruising with larger packs. For the mechanically inclined, be warned: motor swaps involve a soldering iron and perhaps a cup of tea for patience. Oh, and those press-on props? They're quite keen on making an unscheduled departure during turtle recoveries. Dental floss is your new best friend for keeping them on, apparently.

Bottom line? If you fancy snagging some crisp HD footage without the hassle of a hefty rig, the DollyFly16 is a rather strong candidate. Just be prepared for its little eccentricities.
