DJI Lito X1: DJI Stops Calling Everything 'Mini' but Keeps It Cheapish

You probably think you need a Mini 5 Pro, but your credit card disagrees. DJI's answer is the Lito X1. It is a sub-250g folding drone designed for the person who wants modern tech without the marketing premium. You get 4K at 60fps, 4K slow motion at 100fps, 10-bit D-Log M, O4 transmission, and waypoints for £599 in the Fly More Combo. That is less money than the Pro, but definitely not the performance of 'warehouse leftovers' older models.

The important bit, other than keeping you clear of stricter regulations, is the sensing. DJI basically threw a small LiDAR sensor onto the front to augment the omnidirectional wide-angle cameras. This means the Lito X1 is genuinely safe to track subjects—using ActiveTrack 360 and Spotlight—even in low light where older vision systems would quit. It is not infallible against every twig, but it is enough tech to keep you from expensive mistakes, provided you are not flying like a complete amateur. You can also view the sensing feeds on the included RC2, which is useful, if not cinematic.

Compared to the cheaper Lito 1, the X1 wins because of that LiDAR, a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor, autofocus, and waypoint missions. If you are an FpV drone pilot needing a stable platform for easy cinematic B-roll without fighting a freestyle quad, this is it. It folds, it flies, it is current, and it is available now at Unmanned Tech. For a detailed breakdown, read the full article on our blog.
