DJI Lito 1 Review: The 'Good Enough' Drone DJI Finally Made

DJI has finally updated its range of 'drones that are definitely worth this much and not a penny more' with the Lito 1. It replaces the old Mini lineup, so you no longer have to explain why you bought a drone from 2021 in 2024. The best part? It maintains that lovely sub-250g weight, which means you can fly it almost anywhere, as long as you aren't doing something stupid.

For £339, DJI is essentially giving you the frame and motors of a premium mini drone and the camera from a very reasonable compact. You get O4 transmission (that's the long-range part), omnidirectional obstacle sensing (that’s the 'not hitting trees' part, provided it is daytime), and a 1/2-inch sensor that shoots 4K at 60fps. The sensor doesn't rotate, and it doesn’t do HDR, because that’s what the much more expensive Lito X1 is for.

Ultimately, the Lito 1 is a machine that does exactly what it is designed to do: it puts an end to excuses for beginners. It has almost all of the sophisticated safety and tracking tech of the high-end minis, only with a fixed-focus, daytime-only limitation that saves you several hundred pounds. This means your footage will still look predictable and cinematic, which is good, but your wallet will also still contain money, which is better. Read our full review here.
