BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro HD: Cheap HD FPV (With Strings Attached)
Share
For $320, the BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro HD kit promises to solve your HD FPV budget woes in a single box. Naturally, there is an asterisk. The kit relies entirely on BetaFPV’s proprietary P1 video system, which lives on a lonely, incompatible island. No, your existing DJI, Walksnail, or analogue goggles will not work, so please spare our support team the inevitable help ticket.
Once airborne, the experience is a tale of two environments. Outdoors, the image is sharp enough to confidently dodge branches and look like you know what you are doing. Indoors, however, the variable video latency turns tight gaps and radiator-dodging into a high-stakes guessing game. It is less of a flight and more of a trust exercise with physics.
The hardware itself is impressively durable, which is fortunate because the VR04 box goggles feature a power port that physically blocks you from raising one of the antennas. Yes, someone actually designed it that way. Still, if you are a beginner who plans to stay outdoors and can tolerate some quirks, it remains a highly compelling package. Check out our full review to decide if you are ready to accept the compromise.
