Herelink Directional Antenna: For When 'Over the Horizon' is Your Minimum Requirement

Look at you, still trying to fly your multi-thousand-pound industrial rig using a pair of rubber ducky antennas. It’s cute, really. But if you actually want to transmit more than a few hundred metres without your video feed turning into a PowerPoint presentation, you need some actual gain. Enter the CubePilot Herelink Directional Antenna – the upgrade your ground station begged for before it died of signal-loss-induced anxiety.

Why You Want It

This isn't just a piece of plastic; it's a 12dBi signal-focusing powerhouse. If the standard antennas are a flashlight, this thing is a searchlight. It’s designed specifically for the Herelink system to ensure that your telemetry and HD video actually make it back to your sweaty palms, even when you're pushing the limits of 'line of sight' (which we all know is a very flexible concept in your flight logs). If you're tired of hearing 'Signal Low' while you're only halfway across the field, this is your solution.

Specs

  • Frequency Range: 5.1GHz - 5.8GHz (The sweet spot for not getting interference from your neighbor's toaster).
  • Gain: 12dBi (That's a lot of 'loudness' for your signal).
  • Polarisation: Vertical (Keep it upright, champ).
  • Horizontal Beamwidth: 60° (You still have to point it, you can't just throw it in the grass).
  • Vertical Beamwidth: 60° (Seriously, aim is important).
  • Connector Type: RP-SMA (The one with the little hole, don't break the pin).
  • Weight: 105g (Light enough that your arms won't fall off during a long mission).

In the Box

  • 1x CubePilot Herelink Directional Antenna

Compatibility

Optimised for the Herelink Blue and Herelink V1.1 Ground Stations. It technically works with anything on 5.8GHz, but let’s keep it in the family, shall we?

Highlights

  • Long-Range Prowess: Effectively doubles your usable range if you point it correctly.
  • Robust Build: It’s built by CubePilot, so it’s likely tougher than your landing gear.
  • Self-Aware Tech: It knows you're going to fly behind that tree. It’ll try its best to help.

Notes

This is a directional antenna. That means it works best when it's facing the drone. If you point it at your car, don't come crying to us about 'poor signal.' Physics is non-negotiable, even for you.

Disclaimer

Unmanned Tech is not responsible for pilots who fly into the next county just because they finally could. Fly legally, please.

Still Here?

If you're still reading this instead of adding it to your basket, you're probably the type of person who reads the terms and conditions. We see you, you beautiful nerd. Get the antenna, get the range, and stop squinting at static.
