Build Your First 4S 5-inch FPV Drone

This collection contains one coherent parts recipe built around the repairable TBS Source One V6 frame. Every component has a defined place in the build—no compatibility roulette required. For one complete drone, you’ll need:

  • 1 × TBS Source One V6 5-inch frame
  • 1 × TBS Lucid Freestyle F60A AM32 FC/ESC stack
  • 4 × TBS Ethix CATS 2207 motors — select 2400KV
  • 1 × set of HQProp 5×4.3×3 props, plus several spare sets
  • 1 × XR2 Nano 2.4GHz ELRS receiver1 × compatible 19×19mm analogue FPV camera
  • 1 × Rush Tank 5.8GHz analogue VTX1 × 5.8GHz SMA RHCP antenna
  • 1 × capacitor rated safely above 16.8V
  • At least 2–3 × 4S XT60 LiPo batteriesA spare 2400KV motor, replacement arms and extra battery straps are also sensible.

Double Check Before Purchasing:

  • Select the 2400KV motor variant.
  • Use 4S XT60 batteries; a fully charged pack reaches 16.8V.
  • Confirm the camera, VTX and goggles are all analogue 5.8GHz.
  • Choose a 19×19mm camera with a suitable input voltage.
  • Match the antenna connector and polarisation; this recipe uses SMA RHCP
  • Use a radio with built-in 2.4GHz ELRS. Select the ELRS variant, not CC2500 or FrSky.
  • Check whether your radio requires a separately purchased battery.
  • Never power the VTX without its antenna fitted.

Please Note:

A digital multimeter and an XT60-compatible smoke stopper/current limiter are required before first power-up. Neither is currently verified as available for this collection, so obtain both separately.
