RyderFPV

Its a mystery as to how Ryder got started in FPV, but when it comes to flying, its all or nothing. Flat out or go home…

One day Ryder might get around to updating his mini bio but this will have to do until that day comes.

SYNCFPV

I got into FPV the same a lot of people probably did, from a casual interest in cameras & Cinematography, which led to buying a DJI camera drone which gave me a taste for flying. Around August 2018 I built my first 5″ quad, an Armattan Rooster, and the rest kinda fell into place pretty quickly.
My background is in video game development so I’ve had over 30 years training my thumbs for this so won’t be pinching any time soon.

FPV G

I first flew FPV after watching a mountain dive video at which my mind was blown and went through the rabbit hole of watching freestyle videos after.
Flew my first quad at the end of 2019 and haven’t looked back since!

FAILSAFE FPV

I first got into FPV back in March 2020 after randomly encountering one of Mr Steele’s videos which blew me away, leading on to me building my first 5″ using parts that were featured in Dronemesh’s 2020 build guide using all components from UMT.

From the minute I first armed the quad I was hooked, spent pretty much all my money on parts and upgrades. TBS Crossfire has got to be the biggest and most noticeable one as at the time failsafes was a very common theme :(. This is where I got my name “Failsafe” from.

They are passionate about the sport and are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with unmanned aerial technology.  So if you’re looking to up your game in the world of FPV racing or just want to see some mind-blowing drone stunts, be sure to check out the Unmanned Tech FPV Team!

How to Become A Team Pilot

We at Unmanned Tech do not have a formal application process for team pilots, this is because we believe that being an active and positive member of the FPV community is crucial for success as a team pilot. We believe that pilots who are dedicated to the hobby, contribute positively to the community, and consistently push the limits of what is possible with unmanned technology are the ones who will be most successful as members of the Unmanned Tech FPV Team.

By monitoring the community and keeping an eye out for pilots who are excelling in the sport and making a positive impact, we are able to identify pilots who would be a great fit for the team. Additionally, by not having a formal application process, we are able to keep the selection process more flexible and open to the different ways that pilots are contributing to the community.

We believe that by selecting pilots in this manner, we are able to build a team of pilots who are not only incredibly skilled and talented, but who also share our values and passion for the hobby.

Also, we want to be sure that we are not overwhelming our team with too many members, that’s why we reach out to pilots when we have the capacity and make sure we maintain the team size at an optimal level. This allows us to give each team member the support and resources they need to succeed.
