Our fancy product description writer person has decided they need some time off since the last gruelling TheFPV product release so you are stuck with me for now until the said person decides to come back to work, if you are lucky you might spot a typo or two.

FPV can be a pretty daunting place to first wonder into, between the millions of options and contradicting advice.  There are a bunch of decent ready to fly kits such as the Tinyhawk 2 RTF kit, Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle Kit if you are feeling bit more adventurous and the BetaFPV Advanced kit.  But theese all arrive ready to fly out of the box more or less, stealing the frustration and sense of entitlement that comes with building your first quad.

So this is where TheFPV C2 comes in, also known as “the Cine Flea” around these parts.  What you get here is a super awesome FPV quadcopter that arrives in exactly 27 parts (depending how you count). And its your challenge to try and build it which for some of us is half the fun of FPV.  And even better if you crash (if you don’t you are not trying hard enough), you will know how to fix it since you built it.  This gives you a great sense of entitlement as you can go about browsing your social media feed looking down on all your fellow FPV pilots who are flying ready build quads.

Of course if you run into trouble we are here to help you out, but thanks to privacy rules it can be a secret between us.

We will have a full build video soon, but for now you will have to make do with this:

Features

  • Self build cinewhoop kit without the need to solder anything
  • Lightweight design and foam prop guards allow this quad to handle some abute
  • 1202.5 Motors provide smooth and powerfull flight response
  • Includes a TPU Insta360 or Smo 4K camera mount
  • Diversity SPI Receiver compatible with Frsky D8 with over 300m range (you can still fit your own RX like Crossfire if you want)

We worked with Happymodel to build this quad, they have their own version called the CIne8, so if you cant find spares in stock you can use ones from that kit.

Ideal as a first build without the need for soldering or buying any specialist tools (everything goes together with the supplied screwdriver.) It’s pretty simple to put together, just watch any happymodel cine8 build tutorial on youtube and refer to the instructions in the box, I glued the buzzer to the RX board at the back with superglue as I can’t stand hot glue which worked fine. Flies pretty steady and is good for slow proxy flights where you don’t want to worry about props causing damage. I’ve had a couple of slow speed crashes and had no problems with damage. Not exactly the quietest thing in the world but that’s ducted props for you..

Fourth real drone, plus two DJI drones and few yunchee drones.
For the cheapest drone out of my fleet I enjoy flying it the most!!!
Fly’s very well it’s set up well out of the box.
Fpv video feed is good considering the price I cannot fault it.
Binding it was not a big deal.
Have flown it with various lipos mainly 3s
    Ranging from 380mAh to 1400mAh.
I have also fitted a runcam thumb camera for 1080p video.
I have flown it indoors for few hours!
It is manageable on 2s and 3s.
Outdoors it can definitely fly on 3s.
I have flown around people and dogs.
If you choose to do this remember to disarm the drone if you ever feel out of control so you don’t damage people, animals or property as the drone is cheap and replaceable.
If you have a steady hand it performs superbly as a cinewhoop in very confined spaces.
In more space with a medium sized battery it performs a few tricks which is impressive as it’s a cinewhoop and you don’t have any expectations of flips and rolls. Just make sure you setup horizon mode in betaflight if you are learning to fly.
It has been a great little drone.
Wish I had started with it!!
It has one niggle if you let the voltage get below 3v per cell it will reset it self and then you have flash it.
This happened to me it took me a while to get it right but once done I can do it again.
This was great for me as I learnt a new important skill!!
It is the same as happymodels cine8 but it’s £20 cheaper! And more importantly you are helping a small company to grow!
Thanks to thefpv and unmanned tech for such a great product at a very good price!

Bought my first one last year and bought my second today. Didn’t really get the whole building of it and what came out the other end was a bit of a mess. It was a clumsy cinewhoop quad in comparison to my Meteor85. Back in February I decided to try moving the parts on to a BetaFPV Twiglet 2.5″ frame and the reincarnation was born. I took the FC, motors, camera and vtx, put them on the Twiglet frame and used HQ 2.5x2x3 props. AUW is now 84g with a 660mAh 2S Lipo and around 100g with a 3S 550mAh Lipo. It rips pretty well on a 2S, but put a 3S on it and it is very impressive. The only other recommended upgrade is to add ELRS. In short if you want something that flies really well and isn’t madly expensive, this kit is where it’s at.
