They’re fairly affordable, smooth, quiet and perform great on a wide voltage range. I can fly my 4500KV version on 2s-4s, they just lack punch on 2s but can cruise for over 9 minutes. Also seem to be indestructible. I had some pretty hard crashes in about two weeks of using them daily and the only issue I had was when I picked up too much dirt in one of them, but simple toothbrush did the trick without even taking the bell off. Great choice for 2.5″ quad, paired with Gemfan 2540 or the new Emax Avan Rush props.

Powerful motors i used on a 130 size build plenty of power on 3 and 4s

Great little motors. Put loads of packs through them, plenty of crashes and they are still going strong. 6000 KV perfect for 2.5″ props.

Emax sure do know how to make a smooth motor! I have the 6000 & 7500 flavour and both sets are incredibly smooth and powerful and hold up to crashes quite well! The selection of screws is a nice touch too!

I have 2 sets of these. they are affordable, but I was a little disappointed since I expected top quality from Emax:
– On first set, 2 motors had quite big logitudinal foreplay of the bell. I solved that with a vice and some work (as described on RCgroups forum). There is a little vibrations comming from them when spinning them without props. I softmounted them and quad is flying OK.
– The second set had A LOT of vibrations when spinning them without props. It was like phone was vibrating on my bench. I managed to balance them up to certain level, used thick softmounts and quad is flying OK.
In each case, I’ll try another brand when I’ll need 11XX motors next time.
