This iFLy 4 Quadcopter Kit is a very affordable aerial photography or FPV platform. Utilising the latest in 32bit technology, the Cortex flight controller is highly responsive and precise, giving the smoothest possible flying experience. This quadcopter kit comes 99% pre-assembled, all you need to do is attach the propellers, clip on the landing gear, and unfold the frame before your first flight! The other great thing about this quadcopter frame is that it is ultra-portable due to its size, you can easily fold the frame down to fit into your bag to easy transportation. This makes it a good platform for FPV flying. If you want to use this for aerial photography you should have a look at the iFly Gimbal that you can use to carry most compact cameras or a Go Pro type camera.

Flight modes include Acrobatic Mode, Stabilise mode (Self Level), and Altitude hold which is ideal for photography/videos. A GPS extension is currently in development.

Please note that this is product still requires a Receiver/Transmitter (at least 6 channels) and a battery. The Maximum Take-off weight of this quadcopter frame is about 1.1Kg, and you should use a 2200mah - 3000mah 3 Cell battery.

First Impression Review by Steve

The Kit is excellent the service is excellent, however I was a bit disapointed that the connector for the battery was not the XT6 but was a T Bar connector, The lipo's I had ready couldn't be used straight away, I think it's a good idea to put the TBar adapter on the same page.

Also the supplied mini DVD doesn't work on any computer tried four different ones and it's corrupt.

But don't let this put you off it's a great quad be careful it is a bit of a handful in a breeze the wind catches it quite easily unfortunately it's been quite breezy since I have had mine very stable in the hover with and without alt hold, I have set up my radio with the gear switch using only balanced and balaced/alt hold I think manual will be to twitchy to start off with so will get to that after a bit more experience.

CAn't fault the service excellent, the kit is excellent only had two issues, one being the battery connector on the quad is a T Bar connector and I have turnigy lipo's so it wouldn't connect until I used my Turnigy charger cable cut and soldered to main board. Since discovered you can buy an adapter here!! which isn't listed under the Ifly other items on the page?.

The second issue is the mini DVD supplied won't run on my laptop just looks like a blank disk so I had to get instructions from on line. Once all set up with my Frysky D8Plus and Turnighy 9X with new module fitted ,it flies really nice in doors the alt hold works a treat, yet to try out doors but need to get my charger cable sorted as I can't charge my lipo's;-( (Posted on 02/02/2013)

Great quadcopter, very easy to setup and I had this flying in no time! This quadcopter is very stable, and great for taking some quick and easy aerial photographs/videos!
